Introduction

For this document, it is assumed that a minimum of two people are present at the firing:

  • The Firing Director (FD)
  • The Safety Officer (SO)

However, it is suggested that the following people be present as well:

  • The Operations Overseer (OO)
  • The Data Recorder (DR)

    • Ensure the EMRG is completely discharged.

    • DO NOT APPROACH UNTIL SYSTEM VOLTAGE BELOW 5V

  1. Use discharge stick to drop voltage to zero if above 5V Use discharge stick to drop voltage to zero if above 5V
    • Use discharge stick to drop voltage to zero if above 5V

  2. Attach voltmeter to EMRG and turn voltmeter on
    • Attach voltmeter to EMRG and turn voltmeter on

  3. Turn off nitrogen supply and release excess pressure as needed
    • Turn off nitrogen supply and release excess pressure as needed

  4. Safe the system. Remove the injector assembly. Replace aluminum shorts on the capacitors.
    • Safe the system.

    • Remove the injector assembly.

    • Replace aluminum shorts on the capacitors.

  5. Disconnect the cables. Disconnect 5 point control cable
    • Disconnect the cables.

    • Disconnect 5 point control cable

    • Disconnect 2 point power cable

    • If no more firings for the day disconnect 9 pin data cable

  6. Disconnect 25 pin data cable Disconnect BNC power cable from diagnostic box Disconnect BNC power cable from diagnostic box
    • Disconnect 25 pin data cable

    • Disconnect BNC power cable from diagnostic box

  7. Open lid of HSCSB If done firing for the day, turn off HSCSB and pack up the camera
    • Open lid of HSCSB

    • If done firing for the day, turn off HSCSB and pack up the camera
